Useful Avid Console commands

The Avid console has some useful commands, you just need to know what to type.  Here I will add various commands that you may find helpful.

Changing the delay between the sound and the picture

Sometimes the picture from your video hardware (Blackmagic, AJA or Matrox) may not match the sound you can hear from your speakers.  You can change the delay between the two by typing:  “moncondel #”

#=number of frames.

Display waveforms for linked AVCHD clips

This one may cause Avid to be unresponsive and crash, but will make it display waveforms for AVCHD linked clips
