Capture using Media Express
If you are using Premiere Pro, as of CC2024 you cannot capture with any device any more. However, you can capture with Blackmagic’s own program and import the files into Premiere. You may also want to use Media Express if editing with DaVinci Resolve although the next video also looks at Resolve own capturing.

Blackmagic capture with DaVinci Resolve
You can capture directly into Resolve. On a PC you are farily limited on the formats you can use – on a MAC you have access to ProRes. However, you can still capture into Resolve in uncompressed and convert it to a small file later on.
