EDIUS Pro requires an internet connection once a month to validate the licence.

Grass Valley EDIUS Pro X – Upgrade from EDIUS 9 (Pro/Workgroup) – incl. support from DVC Training UK
Upgrade from EDIUS Pro 9 or EDIUS Workgroup 9 to EDIUS Pro X incl. support from DVC Training UK. If you upgrade from EDIUS 9 Workgroup to EDIUS Pro X you will obviously loose all the Workgroup features that you would have had in EDIUS 9. Check the website for a full list of the differences between the two programs.
You will need your EDIUS 9 serial number when installing EDIUS X; you can keep EDIUS 9 running on the same machine as EDIUS X if you wish.

The EDIUS Pro X Jump Upgrade allows owners of an old EDIUS License to upgrade to EDIUS X.
Important: The Installer will ask for a valid serial number of the old EDIUS version. If you bought your copy of EDIUS from DVC originally I may still have a record of your old serial number; please ask for more information.

If you order by the link below you will be send a code and a link to a place where you will upload your proof of educational status. Order the full version of EDIUS Workgroup X. This main difference between the Workgroup and Pro versions is that the Workgroup version has many features needed by broadcasters. For a full list of the advantages of the Workgroup version read the information below.
EDIUS Workgroup does not need to connect to the Internet at all. It is easier to activate when you install it if your computer is on the Internet but you never need to connect the machine to the Internet afterwards, unlike the Pro version, which must connect once a month.

Why are prices in Euro?
You are buying from the EU distributors based in Germany and all their prices in Euro. It is possible for me to change the prices in the basket to be in GB pounds, but the conversion is done by the webshop software and the rate is not favourable. If you buy using a UK credit card in Euro your credit card company will do the conversion for you and the price will be cheaper than if you change the webshop to display GBP. Unfortunately, this does make things a little more complicated and you won’t know the exact UK price you are paying until you get your credit card bill but it will work out cheaper than choosing GBP from the webshop software.
